SRO for Jesus

March 02, 2020, By: Jimmy Scruggs

“For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.” John 3:17
Standing room only at the Celebrate Recovery/Crossroads. That’s the way it was last Friday night during our Celebration Night. The last Friday of the month, we celebrate recovery birthdays and milestones. People shared recovery birthdays ranging from 24 hours to 38 years. The newcomers and the old-timers were all together with one thing in common: we all had some recovery that day, because Jesus led the way. Recovery for me is about my relationship with Jesus and with each other. We come to CR with our hurts, habits, and hang-ups. With God willing, we engage in a 12-step process to work through it. This process brings us closer to Jesus. When we get close to Jesus, we experience love in a profound way – a love that needs to be shared with each other. Spend some time during this Lent season to draw closer to Jesus. That is what Lent is all about. That is what recovery is all about. My Pastor calls it ‘getting up close and personal with Jesus.’ If you are stuck in hurt, habit, or hang-up, check out Celebrate Recovery/Crossroads. We meet every Friday night at 6pm. We look forward to meeting you! God loves you; Jesus died for you; His spirit lives in you! Say “Yes” to Jesus! Dana Cramer // Celebrate Recovery at Crossroads Church
