“Fitting in” is something many people have struggled with over the years. Where do we fit in with God, family, friends, community, work? Have you ever asked yourself -“Why am I here”- I did all the time before I met God in a meaningful way. It wasn’t until I hit bottom and had nowhere else to go did I finally get honest with God and ask for his help.

 

Recovery starts when we surrender and allow God to be in control of our lives. As we do this over and over again the experience gained gives us an understanding of where we have been and who we belong to, which gives us a better understanding of what we can become in Christ. God has given us a plan for our lives (Jeremiah 29:11) and has given each of us special gifts that can lead us to a life of purpose and prosperity. The question for me, and maybe for you: Will I accept Gods plan for my life? My experience is that when I accept Gods plan for my life I fit right in, when I don’t I seem to not fit in anywhere.

 

“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord , “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” Jeremiah 29:11
