God is in Charge

For it is God who works in you to will and to act according to his good purpose. Philippians 2:13
What a crazy time we live in. The “world” seems to be absolutely bonkers. In our CR men’s 12-step group we are working on Step 2I came to believe that a power greater than ourselves could restore us to sanity. One of the hallmarks of this step is hope; we need hope that our lives can be restored. I would like to take this step a bit further to include hope for families, community, our country and the world. If God can restore us to sanity then he can restore everyone if they so choose. The most important choice we have in our lives is the decision to believe or not to believe in God. The outcomes of our choice have a direct correlation in how we live out our lives. I believe as a Christ follower that God is sovereign over this world, no matter what happens in it, no matter what we think is right or wrong. My hope does not depend on any one person or position or ideology, it comes from God. As I sort out my life in the midst of lives around me, I need to stay focused on God’s plan for my life. Am I praying or worrying, trusting or doubting, hopeful or hopeless. Love God, love people, Jesus first! Dana Cramer
