Share Your Heart

July 16, 2019, By: Jimmy Scruggs

Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, and into His courts with praise. Be thankful to Him, and bless His name. Psalm 100:4
To share your heart requires courage, whether the sharing is done one on one, in a share group, or with family and friends. Besides courage, sharing also requires honesty, vulnerability, transparency, and sometimes desperation. The pain and brokenness that brings people to the recovery journey is defeated by God’s grace and mercy. In our brokenness, we find surrender, and in surrender we are humbled by the overwhelming truth that God is love and how utterly thankful we become. We find the courage to speak up and speak out from our hearts to share with others and give hope to the broken. We are forever never alone, God’s love and mercy trumps our circumstance—no matter what it may be. God will do for us what we can’t do for ourselves. He will give us the courage that overcomes fear. If you’re trapped by a hurt-habit-or hang up, try a CR 12 step group. We have a new Women’s group starting soon. A new Men’s 12 step group has started and enrollment is open. God loves you, Jesus died for you, His spirit lives in you! Say Yes to Jesus and Live Love! Dana Cramer // Celebrate Recovery at Crossroads Church
