November Gatherings

October 29, 2020, By: Jimmy Scruggs

We’re grateful for the past season of outdoor and online services, and the time has come to move indoors. Read on for an overview of the phased plan for re-gathering at the Taft Facility. If you’re looking for a quick list of service times, links and downloads, check out the weekly gathering page.

NOVEMBER GATHERINGS

For the month of November, we’re offering the weekend experience on Thursdays at 6:30pm and Sundays at 9am and 11am. The family-friendly service will be broadcast live from the Crossroads auditorium. Participants are invited to join in-person or via the LiveCast outdoors on the patio or from home. If space is needed, we will open overflow spaces.
If you join us on campus, expect a warm, friendly atmosphere, socially distanced seating to accommodate groups or individuals, and face coverings used whenever we are indoors. If you forget a face covering, we have extras. We take our socializing outdoors for as long as the weather holds. Bring your water bottle; and please wash or sanitize your hands upon entering and exiting the spaces. Learn more about how we’re doing our part to keep northern Colorado open!
Teaching is live; and music is a mix of live plus Crossroads Band music videos. Food trucks are usually with us, so watch social media for the food truck schedule this fall.
If home is still the best place for you, join the LiveCast or watch and share it on demand. We’ll be live on the online campus with friendly hosts and resource links. Facebook Live is a great way to take in the service and host a watch party with friends and family across the miles. Services go on demand every Friday at noon.

WHAT ABOUT FAMILIES, KIDS AND STUDENTS IN NOVEMBER and DECEMBER?

November 1, we launch a group-based kids experience on campus during Sunday services. The CK Groups experience includes teaching, music and activities delivered via video, and trained leaders facilitate the experience with small groups of kids in separate spaces. Space is limited, so pre-registration is important. Creative accommodations will be made for newcomers. The special needs community is always welcomed and served by trained staff and volunteers.

Middle school and high school students are gathering on campus for teaching, activities and relationship building at 6:30pm on Thursdays. The in-person services are family friendly and children will receive activity packs related to the weekly KidsCast.
The KidsCast is a special broadcast for families with preschool and elementary age children. The weekly KidsCast is available on demand Fridays at noon. Kids Team leaders go live in the Kids online campus at 9am on Sundays.

NOVEMBER FORECAST

Anticipating growing participation in November, we plan to expand services times to Thursdays at 6:30pm and Sundays at 9 and 11am. Students will keep meeting on Thursdays at 6:30.

Have a safe and joyful fall season, and please take time to gather and grow with your Crossroads family every week!
