Crossroads Kids Groups
Crossroads Kids (CK) Groups are for kids in *Kindergarten-5th grade. CK Groups are designed to help you connect your kids with others, receive support from Crossroads and find community with the goal of raising spiritually healthy, resilient kids. There are a variety of ways to join a CK Group based on your comfort level during this time; At Home Groups, On Site Groups and Virtual Groups. The lessons are delivered from the Crossroads Kids team in a video format each week, all you have to do is press play and follow along. If you are doing the lessons from your home, an awesome volunteer will drop off supplies right at your doorstep. Keep reading for more details and to register for a Crossroads Kids Group.
TYPES OF CROSSROADS KIDS GROUPS
AT HOME CROSSROADS KIDS GROUPS
Any household can sign up to host a Crossroads Kids Group and complete the activities on their own or with friends each week. Some groups will want to meet as a family only, while others have a circle of safety amongst neighborhood and school friends. All of the teaching is delivered in video format from the Crossroads Kids team and an awesome volunteer will drop off the supplies at your house each week.
ON SITE CROSSROADS KIDS GROUPS
Crossroads Kids groups will be offered at the Taft Avenue Facility during regular Sunday services beginning November 1, and will be led by trained volunteers. Kids that register for this option will be assigned to a group, and the groups will be limited to 10 kids. Children in these groups must wear face coverings at all times and follow responsible social distancing guidelines.
VIRTUAL CROSSROADS KIDS GROUP
The Crossroads Kids Team will host a virtual Crossroads Kids Group on Zoom every Thursday at 6:30pm. If you register for this option, one of our awesome volunteers will drop off the materials each week on your doorstep.
CHILDREN WITH SPECIAL NEEDS
Crossroads welcomes individuals and families with special or unique needs. We have a group for children with special needs that meets during both services on Sunday. Please indicate on the registration form if you have a child with special needs, and our Special Needs Ministry Director, Wendy Howell will contact you. Please email Wendy with any questions at [email protected].
It takes a whole village to raise our children! From preparing weekly supplies, to organizing treats for groups, to hosting groups, we have a place for you to volunteer. Volunteer opportunities are available for those who are completely social distancing at this time and those who would like to do more with others.
