God’s Got This

September 30, 2019, By: Jimmy Scruggs

“God has things under control even when life is out of control.” That’s the hope filled message I heard at church over the weekend. We all know how important hope is to our recovery. We come to Celebrate Recovery to have a new relationship with Christ, learning to rely on his grace to clear away the wreckage of the past so that we may live in a growing relationship with him in the present, and hopefully have a brighter future. We have tools in recovery that not only help us recover from the past, but help us to look at each day in the present, learning to be quick in making amends and offering forgiveness, so the petty stuff of today doesn’t become the major stuff of tomorrow. Make no mistake, there are big things that will happen to us, causing us to feel out of control. But God’s redemption for us is found in his suffering for us; Jesus is the way and God is under control—working for us, not against us.
“Let us, then, feel very sure that we can come before Gods throne where there is grace. There we can receive mercy and grace to help us when we need it.” Hebrews 4:16
If you’re stuck in a hurt, habit or hang-up, try a CR 12-step group. New groups are open.

God loves you, Jesus died for you, His spirit lives in you! Say Yes to Jesus and live Love!
