Early Adventures Preschool & Daycare at Crossroads provides a loving, supportive, and developmentally appropriate educational environment open to all children aged 6 weeks through 6 years. We recognize that each child learns differently and at his or her own pace. It is our goal to provide as many opportunities as possible to meet the needs of each child in our program, encouraging the opportunity to grow and learn as everyday peacemakers.

Our Programs
At Early Adventures, each child learns through play all day long. Their day is filled with engaging activities led by nurturing teachers. You get to be a part of your child’s day via our Procare app. You’ll get notifications of meals, diapers, pictures, naps, and messages throughout the day. You also get to be completely in charge of what your child eats by supplying their own food. At the EAC (Early Adventure Center), we aren’t just a preschool; we are a community filled with holiday parties, concerts, and other fun family events.
Pikas
6 wks - Mobility
Our young infant program follows your baby's lead. When they are hungry, they eat. When they are sleepy, they nap. When they want to play, we provide a variety of activities that help them learn about themselves and the world around them.
Chickadees
Mobile infants - 18 mo.
Our older infant program begins establishing a schedule and preparing the little ones for being in a toddler program. They use Funshine Express curriculum, go for walks, go to the playground, and go to the movement room.
Chipmunks
Walking/Off bottle - 2 yrs.
In the young toddler program, children continue the curriculum, walks, playing outside and in the movement room, but they do it at a bit of a faster and more scheduled pace. They experience a lot of sensory activities along with life readiness skills to help them as they grow.
Mountain Hares
Age 2
In Mountain Hares, the same pattern continues as the previous room, but with a slightly more academic focus. Your child will learn more independence; from learning how to spell their name, to potty training, to putting their own shoes/coats on, we work on it in this room.
Wolf Pack
2.5 - 4 yrs.
This class continues the Funshine curriculum while enhancing it with more play based academic learning activities, social/emotional activities, and fun sensory activities that keep children engaged and learning.
Teachers will work with the family and the child to help with potty training.
Universal Pre-K
Year prior to Kindergarten
UPK is a government funded program which strives to make sure that children are as prepared as they can be for Kindergarten. While working on academics, we do not lose focus on the fact that children learn best through play. The children get to take part in a wide variety of activities that fit every learning style and make learning fun.

Our team brings years of experience in early childhood as well as a passion for nurturing the younger generation into a life of peacemaking.
Program Director
Kyla Martin
Kyla brings over 15 years experience in Early Childhood. She received her Early Childhood Teaching & Large Center Director certification through Front Range Community College. Together with her spouse and three children, she enjoys playing games, watching movies, and being outside.
Assistant Program Director
Taylor Scruggs
Taylor taught middle school science for five years before transitioning to Early Childhood, and she is thrilled to be working with her favorite age group. She loves to help children lean into their natural curiosity about the world. She received her bachelor's from CSU in natural sciences education.
Executive Director of the Adventure Center
Amy Scruggs
As the executive director of the Adventure Center, Amy oversees all Crossroads programming for children birth through age 18. She has over 30 years experience ranging from home childcare to church children's ministry, camp programming to early childhood and more. Amy enjoys reading, spending time with her family and traveling with her husband.
