Delusion of Control

“Faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see.” Hebrews 11:1
These are dangerous and crazy times we are living in. When the world around you seems out of control, what can you do? God is a good start. Remembering how He designed us, gives us some control over ourselves, but not the world. I think we get in trouble when we try to control the world around us (if only this craziness would stop) instead of focusing on what we can control: our thinking, attitudes, and actions. The only thing that comes from trying to control this crazy world is becoming out of control ourselves. Instead, focus on what you can do to make your life a little healthier. Understanding that we are not immune to worldly crises, but through our faith in God, we are equipped to walk through the storms of life. “Find rest, O my soul, in God alone; my hope comes from Him.” Psalms 6:25 Relying on God and the healthy people around us is what will get us through this. Celebrate Recovery teaches us to work the process; pray, stay connected to those around you, and help those that are in need. “Life without Christ is a hopeless end; with Him it is an endless hope.” Important message from James on exciting news updates for Celebrate Recovery at Crossroads meetings can be found on our Facebook page: Celebrate Recovery at Crossroads Church Loveland. This is exciting stuff and I applaud the CR leadership team for staying connected for us all. If you are feeling isolated and need someone to talk to, you can text 970-645-6109 and CR will get back to you. “For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love and self-discipline.” 2 Timothy 1:7
