All Aboard

“The Lord makes firm the steps of the one who delights in him; though he may stumble, he will not fall, for the Lord upholds him with his hand.” Psalm 37:23-24
We come to Celebrate Recovery because our hurts, habits, or hang-ups have prevented us from moving forward in our lives. We can get stuck, looking for a way out, and despair starts to set in. And then, seemingly right on time, God’s recovery train (Celebrate Recovery) comes to town and we wonder if we can catch it and get on board. Please God, please help me get on this recovery train! Does God hear you in your time of despair? Yes, he does. He doesn’t care if you are black or white, red or brown, orange or blue. He isn’t focused on how much money you make, or how much education you have. He’s not concerned about your stature or profession. He cares about you, your soul, and what you are going through in this life. Jesus said we are to love God and love people. In good times and bad, God never changes. His love for you is complete and unconditional. So, if your life has derailed and you’re trying to get back on track, listen to Jesus. He is calling out to you – All Aboard! With Jesus you can get on his train anytime. Your ticket has been punched and it’s good for a lifetime. “Blessed is the one who perseveres under trial because, having stood the test, that person will receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised to those who love him.” James 1:12 Love God, love people, Jesus first!
