We Are Rich

July 02, 2018, By: Jimmy Scruggs

“And my God will meet all your needs according to his glorious riches in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:19

You know what happens when you focus on the problem? The problem just gets bigger. It’s that kind of thinking that brings many of us to recovery; we get stuck and can’t see the solution. We keep doing the same thing over and over again expecting different results—the insanity of it all. All of us go through some tough times and we can struggle to find a way out of the problem. In the midst of our turmoil it’s comforting to know that we are never alone. God is with us, in every trial, in every victory, in everything we do. The 12th step asks us to live a life of service, to lovingly support and help each other. Some may be saying “I’m not in a position to help,” but together we can help many. I can’t help everyone, but we can. I can’t solve your problems, you have to take the lead on that, but we can sure walk with you in the process. I can’t give you everything you need, but God can. I can’t love you completely, that’s Gods job, but we can love each other as best we can. I guess what I’m trying to say is as we grow in our love for God we grow in our love for each other. We are rich by God’s love, grace, mercy and forgiveness. Prayer: Dear Father God, thank you for loving us completely. I pray that no matter how hard this life here on earth can be, we will seek your love and guidance in all we do. I pray that you use me to help others and that I may bring your message of love and hope to those in need. In Jesus’ precious name we pray, Amen. Dana Cramer // Celebrate Recovery at Crossroads
