Lead Pastor Search Update :: April 9, 2019

April 09, 2019, By: Jimmy Scruggs

A week ago, the Crossroads Pastoral Search Team (PST) completed our midpoint call with our Vanderbloemen consultant, Tim. We came away with good direction and information to share with you. It’s been pretty quiet on our end as the Vanderbloemen Search Group (VSG) promotes the position and carefully screens a large field of applicants. And as Easter approaches, we are encouraged about the progress in the search for our next lead pastor. Several factors make our church, and the position, attractive to gifted pastors and leaders: We are located in beautiful northern Colorado. Our welcoming culture is appealing to many socially aware and compassionate pastors. We have a lovely facility. And we have a strong, established presence in our community. VSG has requested these interested parties complete an in-depth candidate profile. From those profiles they will learn a great deal more about each person and begin the work of paring down that list to less than 20. Tim will then interview and meet with each of these top candidates and conduct a detailed vetting process. In early May, Tim will return to Loveland to meet with our Pastor Search Team.  He will present 5-7 candidates, all of whom should be highly qualified and excited about potentially leading Crossroads. Our team will then go to work reviewing each candidate’s resume and profile, listening to teaching videos, holding phone interviews, and eventually meeting the top 1-3 in person. God willing, we could recommend a candidate to you by the end of June. Please continue to pray for this process and for the person God has prepared to lead Crossroads into the future.
