Let Go, Let God

“For God is at work in you, giving you the will and the power to achieve His purpose.” Philippians 2:13
Most people hear the word recovery and think of the alcoholic or addict. When I hear the word recovery, I think of my life with Christ. I have gone through a few recovery definitions in my time, all of which had a common theme; to stop doing something so I can start something new. But what I have learned through Crossroads Celebrate Recovery 12-step work is that I need recovery from me; I am my biggest hang-up—my own worst enemy. So, recovery as I see it is my daily walk with Christ. I need Jesus every day, moment by moment, hour by hour. That seems rather strange to some, even downright dependent. Is it really healthy to rely on God that much? As one who can speak to living a life without God for many years and living life with God for many years; I choose God, hands down. “The more we let go of our useless things, the more God can do his good work in us.” If you’re stuck in a hurt, habit or hang up, try a CR 12-step group. We have a new Women’s group starting soon. A new Men’s 12-step group has already begun and enrollment is open. God loves you, Jesus died for you, His spirit lives in you! Say Yes to Jesus and Live Love! Dana Cramer // Celebrate Recovery at Crossroads Church
