DARING FAITH HAS BIG DREAMS

Now glory be to God, who by his mighty power at work within us is able to do far more than we would ever dare to ask or even dream of – infinitely beyond our highest prayers, desires, thoughts, or hopes. Ephesians 3:20 (TLB)

Dreaming is an act of faith. God gave you the ability to create and to imagine, but nothing happens in your life until you start dreaming. So how do you discover God’s dream for your life? You do three things:
  • Dare to ask God for it. Ephesians 3:20 teaches: Now glory be to God, who by his mighty power at work within us is able to do far more than we would ever dare to ask or even dream of – infinitely beyond our highest prayers, desires, thoughts, or hopes (TLB). Dare to ask God what he wants you to do. Then ask yourself, “What would I attempt for God if I knew couldn’t fail?” Now you’re talkin’!
  • Believe God’s promises. God says: I am the Lord, the God of all the peoples of the world. Is anything too hard for me? (Jeremiah 32:27 NLT). An impossible situation has no right to intimidate you. Let it motivate you to pray, believe, trust, experience, learn and grow. Faith is about living well in the realm of the impossible.
  • Dream big. God says: Ask of me, and I will make the nations your inheritance, the ends of the earth your possession (Psalm 2:8). Let the size of your God determine the size of your goal. You haven’t really trusted God until you’ve attempted something that can’t be done in your own strength. God’s dream for you will be a perfect match for your God-given talents and passions: your spiritual gifts, heart, abilities, personality, and experiences. But it will be impossible to achieve without God’s mighty power at work within you.
Dream great dreams with God. It’s the first step in your walk of faith.
